日系 router 測試

又係手痕買野玩既時候,最近留意到日本 NEC Aterm 系列 router,睇 spec 見到似乎唔錯,而價錢亦唔貴,於是好奇之下又買返來玩下:

型號:WG1800HP2,屬 3T3R 802.11ac/a/b/g/n Dual band 型號,即 802.11ac 最高 1300Mbps,2.4GHz 802.11n 則 450Mbps


附送支架有兩種安裝方式,下圖為橫放


轉一轉,直企,不得不佩服日本仔 design,真實呎寸大約只係我部 Nexus 5 既 1.5 倍,算係非常小巧


當然,日系產品梗有 D 野唔太適合,第一火牛仍係 100-120V(呢個咩年代.....),第二係日文介面(確係無英文)
火牛我會有辦法解決,而日文介面勉強可以應付,反正 set 一次好多野都唔駛再掂。

官方指呢個 WG1800HP2 及其姐妹 WG1200HP(剛退場,新型號為 WG1200HS)都 support 1000Mbps broadband,而且特別註明經測試 LAN-WAN NAT throughput 可以做到 > 900Mbps,WiFi throughput 都有 > 700Mbps,咁當然要試試....

測試一:LAN to WAN NAT performance (以 iperf 作 5 個 TCP transfer stream 嘗試 jam 晒條線)

似乎官方指既無外露天線 μSR 技術都真係唔差,咁樣谷個 WiFi 可以有接近 800Mbps transfer rate
Single stream 測試就大約 600Mbps

官方亦指呢個 router 可以有類似 parental guard feature,以及 WiFi 子母配對(必須同為 NEC router,按個制就可以 pair up),無線中繼等(未玩),亦 support USB HDD sharing(我亦無試)。DDNS 亦係日系 DDNS 而非我哋常用既 DDNS

當然要同華碩之類鬥 feature 就無得鬥,我買佢返來純粹係因為 NAT/WiFi performance,以低於 10,000 Yen 價錢有呢個表現算可以接受(姐妹機 WG1200HS 係 866+300,剛於幾日前推出,大約 7500 Yen),同埋最緊要唔會牛龜咁大隻先.....
