Dell opti990 pc

I have changed the PC HDD to a 500G and fresh intall the DELL Win 7  dvd.

But I have a problem now.

after I reinstall win 7, if I don't have the DVD in the driver, it cannot boot from my HDD.

I have setup used my HDD to boot already, but it said 'cannot find boot device', until  I put back the OEM Win7 DVD,it it will boot.

seem it will detect I have a DELL DVD or not, otherwise it will not bootup...

any idea?

BIOS update???

no, but if the dell has UEFI, then use UEFI.  since  it is newer.

i checked all office dell is not using UEFI in bios.

Beucase if I just plug back the dell 320G HDD,it can bootup no any problem.

But If I plug back my new 500G HDD,it must need the OS DVD inside for boot, otherwise it will show no booting device found...

thanks

Try disable UEFI and secure boot also disable

anyway, I will try to reformat my other HDD to test...

if I only install a win7 32bit in a 320G HDD, I need disable all UEFI/serce boot first , and then just a normal install?

thanks
