In terms of colour fidelity the BenQ SW2700PT can easily compete with the Dell UltraSharp UP2716D. Sometimes they are neck and neck, sometimes they swap places. The Dell wins in terms of viewing angles, uniformity, response times and gamma. BenQ outperforms when it comes to contrast, colour temperature, colour fidelity, grayscale deviation and power consumption.
When looking at functionality, the Dell clearly offers more connectivity and the option to connect two computers using the two USB hubs, the DisplayPort out and more USB 3.0 ports. However BenQ offers the ‘hood,’ a more diverse range of inputs (including DVI), a card reader and a remote. In the end we prefer the possibilities that the BenQ has. Both monitors offer hardware calibration; we see this as a draw.
