i think if just talking about leica m or sony a7 series, u really cannot skip editing. I have m9 and a7s, both are quite good after editing in lightroom. For usability, I think a7 series is better since you can get closer focus with a close focus capable adapter. In terms of focusing I find it easier to focus on the m9 due to the range finder patch. But for some scenarios, the higher frame rate of the a7s allows me to do focus bracketing more effectively. I would suggest spending money on lens rather than the body, it's not just about the colors straight out of camera but rather the look of the lens itself.
in addition to what I stated above, ultimate sharpness was never the selling point of the m system, the idea of it was to give users a system that had the best compact vs quality ratio. Rangefinder focusing/system itself contributes to a unique shooting and thought process.
haha thank you! my wife helps take care of her while I take photos of her. I used to shoot more photos daily but things adds up in life as well haha. Noctilux was used for some of those photos, I got it to take photos of her. :D
