[購買問題] Crucial MX200 to be discontinued

本帖最後由 wklie 於 2016-8-15 11:43 編輯

When I bought yet another MX200 (MLC) yesterday, a shop in MK told me after they sell the last remaining few units, they'll only have MX300 (TLC).

(Although it is obvious new models always replace old models, I post this as a reminder to other CHing who are interested in buying MLC.)

Tks for the info

Recently I was looking for a low capacity (120GB is more than enough) SSD for my old laptop and the initial option was the Kingston new model, UV400 120GB (TLC).   At the end, I've changed my mind and paid a bit more to get the Kingston V300 120GB (MLC).  The V300 (Custom LSI) is not fast (comparing to rivals) ... but good enough for Windows system drive.

This is yet another example of new models with TLC ... old models with MLC

ps.  Anyway, there was a story regarding the new SSD and my existing Transcend 370S 256GB

Google "Windows 10 anniversary ssd freeze"

"Windows 10 freezing after installing the Anniversary Update on systems with the operating system stored on a solid-state drive (SSD) and apps and data stored on a separate drive. "

"In the meantime, you can work around this issue by signing into Windows 10 using Safe Mode to move your apps and data to the same drive as your operating system."

"Installation of the Anniversary Update does include the ability to "go back" or return to the previous version of Windows within 10 days of the update. "

My apps and data are all on the same SSD !!

Btw, my two PCs are now pretty stable, no freezing.   The freezing scenario only happens when the Transcend 370S was installed on Lenovo E520 ... why, I've no idea !
