True, 8-series chipset with old BIOS cannot boot up Haswell Refresh. However, I bought two different Asus boards H81M-E and B85 Gamer Pro - price &%) from two different shops this month. Both came with new enough BIOS to support Haswell Refresh and G3258.
9-series chipset can upgrade to Broadwell, can have M.2 port for SSD. My concern with Broadwell is that we'll not be seeing Quad Core Broadwell for many months.
