I bought an all-in-one mother board end of 2009, the maker is Magic Pro MP-NC81(RS780-SB700). I recently plan to upgrade it by changing the HDD from the old one 600GB to a new one of 4TB. Installation of HDD and Win 7 is all perfect. However, it just shows 2TB capacity when I click My Computer. When I check on the Disk Management, it shows 4TB in total with C drive of 2TB and D drive of 100MB and then 0.17TB unallocated. I did not make partitions when I installed Win 7, I have no idea why there is unallocated one. it just went in that way. I tried to use installation disc to do something with the unallocated partition, but this unallocated partition is not detected. It does not show in the drive list. I then use EASEUS Partition, there is no option for me to format this unallocated partition. I tried to increase the partition C size by moving the unallocated one to it, then it poped up a small window "Only the first 2TB are usable on large MBR disks. Can not create partitions beyond the 2TB mark, nor convert the disk to dynamic. ", in such sense, the system does not allow to use any storage more than 2TB. Is there anyone having any idea what happen ? Would it be the mother board not supporting 4TB HDD ? Appreciate any comment, thanks !
