About AHCI BIOS setting (I'm using Win7 64bit)

Hi Guys~ Did anyone know how can I use AHCI in Win7? Coz I've check my bios setting and there's only "ATA" & "RAID" I can choose from the bios. Is that means my motherboard doesn't support AHCI?

And I google the "AHCI driver" for Win7 64bit, but it's seems Intel web site is down regarding this driver download. Only can found a exe file for that....

Thanks in advance!!

Any ideas??

set it to Raid ,Raid support ACHI

Which MB/chipset you use ?

ACHI only for SATA drives

If U can't find 'the' option in BIOS, probably yr MB doesn't support or may be U need to upgrade yr BIOS.

You can check the MB website or manual to see if your MB support ACHI or not

yes ar... I'm using Dell and I've call them regarding this, the answer is support but they don't know how to enable on my desktop Maybe I should try to update the BIOS myself to see if the ACHI show on the BIOS or not.....

Any help pls?? I've update my BIOS and there's only 2 choices I've on SATA menu: ATA or RAID
Is that RAID can turn on the AHCI function? Any difference with ATA?? Pls help help :(

Just tried to turn on the "RAID", but I even can't boot to the OS....
Is that mean the true is my motherboard doesn't support AHCI?? But how come the Dell people said it's support?? I even update my BIOS to the most update one.

看來 dell 是故意屏蔽了 AHCI options
users 用低一點 performance, dell 就可以降低一點 support 團隊的負荷
(的確, 唔識用 AHCI 但又走去 Enable 佢, Enable 完入唔返 Windows 又叫救命的大有人在)

OS support AHCI
都要 HW support
先可以響 BIOS 加 AHCI option 去開 +
去呢到 check 真你塊 MB chipset sup 5 support AHCI 先啦
