I just got a 32G E-IV CF for my EEEPC 901 as the SSD via ZIF adapter.
Unfortunately it's NOT in fixed disk mode.
I've got the atcfwchg.com, but end up error. (error #20)
I think it's because it's not from IDE 0 / IDE 1.
And nowadays I think there will be no PCB with no SATA, so even I got the IDE-> CF adapter, it'll never be in IDE 0 / IDE 1.

I just thinking if I can get a SATA - CF adapter, plug into my i7 PC, then is it possible to let it go into IDE 0 or 1, and change it to fixed mode?

CF ZIF adapter only support 16G CF Card only. Is your model really support?

I have no experience on it.
I don't know zif to cf support 16gb only!!
I forgot where I read it but I've read from foreign website that 32gb card can be used .....Bly.
I used 山寨版 adapter only

I can connect it and the CF can be detected in BIOS.
But seems the problem now is the CF card is in "removable" mode instead of "fixed disk" mode.
I tried many ways but even a dos boot disk cannot solve it.
Because even I boot with dos, seems the old drivers are too old, the CF cannot be shown up ...

你隻Sandisk Extreme 32G係唔係舊款？我見而家賣緊個的係支援UDMA7，我都有隻舊款Sandisk Extreme 32G 400X，我用ghost將XP HD image(唔用hibernate同虛擬記憶體)轉落CF後可以boot起XP，不過system仍然係 "removable"

如果新買都係咁，問鋪換隻transend 400X，呢隻可以支援fixed mode
