安裝了及在 Router 設定了 Port Forwarding（我是用 TP-Link），但是無法與機頂盒成功連接。

1. In the router settings, enable UPnP and remove all port forward to Magic TV.
2. If you're using MTV8000, upgrade to latest firmware 8.20 beta3.
3. Turn on streaming in Magic TV. Make sure you successfully run the streaming app using local WiFi network at least once first while router UPnP is enabled.
4. In the streaming app settings, check the router status reported by Auto Network Setup. Ideally it should know the public IP of your router.
5. Test streaming using mobile network
If it still does not work, then disable router UPnP and add port forward of both TCP and UDP 23456 to Magic TV. You'll need to enter the public IP in the streaming app Manual Network Setup.
Note: port forward and UPnP are mutually exclusive, only one of them should be used. Using both will not work.

TRY 了WORK, 不過有個小問題, 是16:9 同4:3 問題. 另外, 現在 4G LIMIT 晒, 真是已經冇乜用了.

Please try a lower bitrate, say 3.5Mbps, and see if it makes any difference on your device.

I tried the app on a Samsung Note 4, it works for streaming live streams (including broadcast signals and also Now TV). It works for my local WiFi network and also through LTE network.
However, it FC once I tap on the recorded programmes. 
Thanks wklie for his continuous MTV support in EPC.

We never experienced FC by getting into the recorded programme list in the Android streaming app, including a Samsung Tab S.
Please retry and see if it occurs every time on your device. If you have another Android device it, please try it too. If it FC frequently for you, please tell me the number of recorded programmes in your Magic TV.

I tried for around 3 times last night, 100% FC when tapped the recorded programmes.
FYI the total number of programmes recorded should be > 100. Please tell me if you want the exact number.

OK, I will try another Android device tonight.
BTW, what's the setting required inside MTV in order to let the streaming app to see it even it is in standby mode? The app on the Note 4 can't see it when it is standby, but I asked a friend to try it with his Note 3, he said his 8000 is detected even in standby mode. Once he taps on it, the 8000 will power on.

If you haven't Reported the crash log in the Force Close dialog on Note 4, please do so.
Standby mode needs to be in Fast Startup for the wakeup to work.

FC seems a bit random. There are still FCs on my 2 devices, Note 4 (4.4.4) and Sony Tablet Z (4.4.2).
FYI the exact number of programmes recorded is 194.

之前有ching整既app,可以用外置mx player,正好多.
同時個設定反應上好過官方呢個.
我都要內網再設定過先得,啟用時係慢好多.
介面比早前ching整既靚仔,不過我一播錄影節目,一係就話部MTV做緊野唔比播,一係就FC.

I tested the app playing live TVB using Nexus 5 on New World (SUN) Mobility 384kbps network, it ran for 80 minutes without problems. The streaming bitstream had been set to 300kbps before the test begins, and the Nexus 5 was placed at a fixed location with a good enough 3G reception.
