但搞定後，唔見有插件中心，
係咪我刷錯ROM？
R7K Netgear stock ROM刷Merlin方法：
R7K上power，只lan連接電腦，wan留空。
刷ROM前，先在Netgear router UI -“backup setings”備份當前router setting，
以備有朝一日你反悔刷返Netgear stock ROM後倒入setting。
步驟：
1.“erase”- 把R7K原廠重置。
2. boot起後，在“router update ”- up Merlin過渡ROM：“R7000_380.63_2.chk”，刷入去。
3.當R7K再boot起，見到嘅應該就係過渡Merlin UI喇，乜都唔洗set，直接入“系統管理”-“韌體更新”up Merlin正式ROM“R7000_380.63_X7.2.trx”，刷入去。
4. boot起後，在過渡Merlin UI，“系統管理”-“還原/匯出/上傳設定”做一次“原廠預設值”。
5. 再boot返後，就係正式版 Merlin，可以按提示做Username ，Pasword 設置。
6.其後，進入“系統管理”-“系統設定”-“Persistent JFFS2 partition”，其下有2項，選擇如下：
Format JFFS partition at next boot - 是
Enable JFFS custom scripts and configs - 是
然後在下邊點：“套用本頁面設定”，跟住再reboot一次 R7K。
7.R7K boot返起，“Format JFFS partition at next boot ”記得選“否”
刷Merlin完
Merlin刷返Stock ROM過幾日得閑再打。

請問“R7000_380.63_2.chk”可以係邊到搵到，4樓條link 只係搵到 "R7000_380.63_X7.2.trx" 依個檔，THX !!!

I have tried R7000_380.63_2 / R7000_380.64 and the 5G WiFi performance was no good. What I mean was, the WiFi works but the penetration power drops much (tried every possible setting to fine-tune the wifi power). Mobile devices disconnected from R7000 when using behind one or two wall(s).

In the end of the day, switched back to latest stock firmware and everything was back to normal. Very strong penetration power ... even behind 3 walls.

As I don't need those extra-advanced features, I have already gave up Merlin (yes I know there is 380.65 and I don't want to try it anymore). It seems ... simple is the best!

After thorough testing of Xwrt-Vortex, my personal comment is, "R7000不建議用Merlin" (at least for the time being) ... period

As I don't need those extra-advanced features, I have already gave up Merlin (yes I know there is 380.65 and I don't want to try it anymore). It seems ... simple is the best!

FYI, it seems the latest 380.65 is also quite troublesome.
Examples :
- one major problem. After some time after copying files over samba into USB 3.0 pendrive it gets corrupted.
- re-occurring issues with my router where the 2.4Ghz band will disappear at random times ... untick "Reduce 3.0 interference" may help ... but still not a permanent solution
- and many other problems ...

I got no time to 'play' with it. stock firmware is the king of stability.
