it uses micro-sim... so even if i buy it in end of April, I still can not use it in HK because no carriers use micro sim for the time being

如果我已經有 netvigator everwhere ，我去買 3 個舊 pokect wifi
可唔可以用返果張 sim 來上網呢 ?
其實我都唔係好明 pocket wifi 嘅運作，係咪 = 用 3G 7.2 落去 pocket wifi 到，而可以用 wifi share 來上網呢 ? 咁係咪速度上 = netvigator everwhere 係無分別架 ?

For mobility and outdoor, I actually prefer UMID M1 3G version... Lessthan 400g and up to 4 hrs web surfing time... Most importantly is it's keyboard
I still think Ipad is bait heavy after holding it for 15 mins

The three network's pocket wifi is unlocked, so u can insert any data sim card and get it working. It then broadcast the hsdpa via it's short range wifi for others devices to connect.

Windows就算去到7支援Multi-touch都好
我都唔太覺個GUI有為手指去做好多優化
亦係Tablet出左咁多年都冇一部大賣既原因

Apple為手指操控而重新定義Smartphone GUI
依家可以話係將個套work左既野改少少放落iPad度
係食老本但個GUI係易用過Windows既Tablet

I am sure Smartone or 3HK will announce the launch of the iPad with their data plan. One can get the iPad for free if you sign an unlimited data plan.
There will be a huge line of buyers skipping work and school to get their hands on the iPad.

It really depends on if you use flash a lot or not.... In my case, I think it's fine becciz I don't play flash games at all... If really needed to view flash, I can always pull out my tiny mid m1!

Honestly speaking most of the people in Hong Kong will jailbreak their iPad. Surely they will not all want to buy the games and programs. See how many people have jailbroken their iPhones.
So for those who don't intend to buy any games or programs from USA then it is no use to buy the iPads now. Rather they wait for the official stock so that they can buy the iPads cheaper.
Cost of iPad (official Hong Kong version) + 20 games from itunes= cost of iPad (parallel import)
Of course people can just get the iPad official stock at cheaper price and still jailbreak their iPads and use the money saved on the new iPhone.
If iPads will release in May then it is not long before we will have the new iPhones released.
For guys who are rich and money is not an issue then surely getting an iPad now is not so bad, provided that one buys the games and programs to make use of the iPad now.
It is no fun just surfing the web and testing multi touch and checking out youtube videos. These can be done on several phones today anyway. Yes, it is exciting to see the iPad at home but the excitement dies out within a few days.

I can tell you right away wifi has a much better battery life than 3G, it's like 10 hrs vs. 7.5 hrs....

Yeah but if you have bought the cradle from Apple, 7hrs or 9hrs it really doesn't matter.
Everytime when you are done using the iPad for whatever purpose, just put the iPad back on the cradle and the battery gets charged again. Yes of course if you use the iPad out of the house then it is a different matter. In my case, I will mostly be using the iPad 3G at home or at the office..
All I want to know now is if the iPad 3G works with the local sim card. I have a spare sim card from 3HK which has unlimted data plan. I am using the SmarTone-Vodafone unlimted data for my google phone.

that's one of the solutions i think will works for people have more than one mobile devices
however, if your plan is phone+3g data, then, you should only have one sim card, right?
I will use 2g plan + pure data plan, 2 sims, using the E5830 to share the network
pure data plan(with E5830) i know PCCW, 3 and 和記 have it, but i don't know the cost
btw, same mouse as mine =)

Actually, I have two accounts with Smartone, one voice + unlimited data, and one unlimited data plan...
You can buy the e5830 from yahoo HK auction site... pretty cheap! Its unlocked...

I still feel it is better if you have a spare sim card with unlimited data to go for the iPad 3G so that you don't have to worry about 2 devices.
We have alot of stress in our lives already the last thing we want is more stress.
