Directly purchased from New York at 24/7 Apple store... All 16G 3G IPADs were sold out, so ended up buying the 32G 3G version for USD729 plus 8.5% sales tax...
Also bought the keyboard dock, which is quite useful!

I also performed some speed testing between 3G vs. Wifi via Huawei e5830 vs. Wifi tethering with Rooted Nexus One (using HTC Desire r21 Rom) on youtube. There are few parts...

Thanks! So the question is that it seems to me that the upload speed of the built-in modem is abit slow for the 3G ipad.
Anyone know wuts the spec of the modem being used in the 3G ipad?
Maybe after all, there is really no point on getting the 3G version for those who already have pocket wifi or tethering devices...

I have a 64GB 3G in transit. Plan to use it as car computer with AGPS navigation. Thats the good thing about 3G version.

Yes, the GPS is probably the main selling point for the 3G model. Apart for the 3G support for those who don't have pocket wifi.
For me 90% of the time I will be using wifi in my office or at home. The rest it will be while I am commuting or when I am at a restaurant with my business associates.

Another issue is that the quality of streaming youtube with 3G connection is much worse than the streaming over wifi (w/ e5830)....

Its true that the wifi version can use the AGPS when connecting E5830... but its not as accurate as the GPS in the 3G version. Trust me, the GPS accuracy of the 3G chipset is really accurate....

That is obvious that Wifi will also be faster than 3G.
That is why I will use wifi most of the time and 3G only when there will be no wifi available.
I have a spare sim card from 3HK which I am not using and it still under the unlimited data contract until July 2010.
I am using the SmarTone unlimited data service for my google phone.

that mean pocket WIFI connection speed for 3G is faster than the internal 3G module of 3G IPAD

首先第一樣野當然係試 Magic Mouse 啦, 行左 BTStack Mouse 之後, 認到行到, 似乎 OK 喎, 再加難度, 整個 Wireless Keyboard 先, 咦? 原來行 BTStack 既時間 IPad 個 BT 要關左先, 如果唔係用唔到, 咁去 Cydia 搵下有套野叫 BTStack Keyboard ($5.00 USD), 心諗買套野都千幾, 唔爭在比多幾十, 比錢.
BTStack Mouse 同 Keyboard 係兩套 Apps 來的, 可以分別運行唔會有沖突的, 嘿...又成功左, 試下 D Apps 先
第一步, 當然係試 Pages, 打字爽, Mouse 用都唔係好差 (其實後來發覺 BTStack Mouse 唔係真係好 Stable, 呢個當然係後話啦), 咁之後試下其他常用操作, Highlight word, 我響 PC 時習慣用 Shift + Arrow Key 去 Select 字, 但係響 IPad 度.....唔 Work. 唔單止咁, 我淨係用上下左右, 個 Cursor 都係冇反應, 個心都灰左一半, 咁點做野啊? 算, 再試埋個 Numbers.
去到 Numbers, 更加唔好用, 第一又係冇左上下左右, 第二, 個 Mouse Click 個 Cell 有時有冇反應, 都唔知想點, 做張 Spreadsheet 攪成半個鐘, 放棄 !!
最後再試埋 Remote Desktop (iTap/Logmein), 同我之前個 Post 一樣, 打字 OK, 但係 Mouse Click 又係時得時唔得, 即係點? 即係唔駛旨意好流暢咁用得 hahah
後來諗下諗下, 冇理由 Apple 個 Keyboard 有 上下左右但係又用唔到架...於是我再試最後一招, 用番 IPad 本身個 BT 去 Pair 番個 Keyboard 再用 (當然個 Mouse 唔用得啦, 一陣放佢入雪櫃雪藏佢一年半載!!)
好啦, 經測試個結果係咁.....
Pages : 上下左右原來都用到了, 加埋 Shift + 上下左右 都可以 Highlight 字 , Command + C, V (Copy, Paste) 都正常哂, 幾好用
Numbers : 上下左右唔得 (我估係 Application 既問題), Cell 入面既上下左右, Shift + 上下左右, Copy and Paste 都 OK
Remote Desktop : Logmein 入面你要開個 Keyboard 先可以打字 (不過個 Virtual Keyboard 你可以 Hidden, 只係你要多個動作 Turn On 個 Keyboard), iTap 同 Logmein 差不多, 不過佢個 Virtual Keyboard 唔可以 Hidden
以上係個心得總結 :
- 如果想買個 Keyboard + Mouse + iPad 想用 Notebook Replacement 既話, 我 Suggest 等等先, 因為我估大多數既問題都係出於 BTStack Mouse + BTStack Keyboard, 只要再 Improve 一下佢既穩定性及操作性, 應該問題都唔大
- Native Keyboard Support 係唔同 D, 如果你唔係太需要 Mouse 的話, 純用個 Keyboard 都打字都真係幾好用的

If you have budget constraint: buy a wifi version only + (smart phone or pocket wifi for tethering)
Pros: you can stream youtube with much better quality via wifi
For apps from the App store which is larger than 20MB, you need to use wifi to download
Other devices can use the wifi tethering as well
Cons: its a pain to carry two items and battery of the tethering device will die in 3 hrs

Just to give more details on remote access:
VNC network: (using LogMeIn) its faster when using external network, but with no sound
RDP: (Using Jump) Much faster when using on the same home network, but slightly slower on external network... It plays sound as well.

POCKET WIFI又係1K
所以如果有需要周街上網, 除非你用電話做MODEM, 否則POCKET WIFI+IPAD WIFI一樣收你咁上下價
2. AGPS
IPAD WIFI冇GPS, 覺得GPS好重要就一定買IPAD 3G

iPad+ iPhone玩超任
iPad雖然要下個月先到港，不過在外國就已經玩到無所不玩的地步，例如好多 Game迷心目中最好的遊戲機超任，幾乎任何新電子產品，都會見到超任模擬器出現， iPad玩到絕對唔意外，不過這款 SNES（ HD）特別之處，在於可以將 iPhone當作控制器使用，而 iPad就純粹當屏幕使用，接駁方式就用藍芽，最正仲係免費，任你玩，唯一問題係遊戲想當然地係入唔到 App Store，所以必須要用經過 JailBreak的 iPad及 iPhone，有興趣可到以下 YouTube網址睇睇。
