...........Seems no one has brought this low end item but I still want to write something for anyone who might be thinking about spending on this budget item.
Eventually I brought the BEAM 2 instead of the 2ES and I only listened and compared the two before paying for it. Reasons are below:-
1. I don't need the gain control in 2SE; though the high gain output in 2SE seems higher than 2 which only has one level of output;
2. Currently I don't own any balanced cable, still I think I would someday, so 2 with 2.5 balance out would be an obvious choice;
3. 2 has Dual OP AMP Chips while 2SE has only one, so why not.
Mine could be a more updated version with only two cables and an adaptor for standard USB (instead of three cables) fitted in a transparent plastic box.
Overall impression, the first thing I noticed is that it offers much substantial power particularly in the bass range. However, it is not that kind of boom sound effect. It has substance and power. Everything has expanded in a good way from high to low to separation. There is huge differences when I tune on the internal Dolby Atmos and UHQA in my mobile. Serious listeners might think the above "MSGs" are rubbish but indeed changing cable to ear tips are MSG in a broader sense. Making good use of MSG and let you control what makes you happy are the keys.
Conclusion, the effect is far more instant and impressive than spending the same money for a cable personally I believe.
Few issues:
1. It heats up but within tolerable level, I kinda like the feeling that it delivers a "warmer" sound;
2, Heat for sure is converted from the battery of your mobile;
3. Mine sometime has some "hum " noise when not playing from the left channel. Someone told me that it could be due to the grounding of the c cable but the unit could be defective as well. I will sure try it in different units (PC and mobile) before I take it back for an exchange.

Pros:
solid build and good looking. More than enough power.
Very pleasant tuning, slightly V-sharp from my subjective audition. Sound stage is wide, trebles are grand and well extended, bass are powerful.
Cons:
Cables are cheap and not durable
Pop sound when insert into phone
Frequently not recognized by i-device, Android is better

me 2 ...."Pop" sound when insert into phone, so I first connect the DAC to the phone then the IEM, fear of burning the units in the IEM

My friends also owned L&P W2, they have below comments when compared to beam series:
W2 is tuned more neutrally, less MSG in your words, thus less catchy
Power sounds similar (didn’t look into spec)
EQ/earphone profile of W2 are not necessary, who will use?
W2 paired better with I-device
W2 is bulky, beam is just right in size

Do you refer to background noise ?
From experience of my friends and myself, Beam 2 does not produce large background noise, but it’s not dead silent.
Which iem are you using?

no "hum".......electrical noise.
I recall reading comment about this from some reviews regarding the possible ground loop but I can't retrieve the page no more.
another wild guess is that could the cable serve as an antenna and pick up some signal when being near of some strong magnetic apparatus?

Finally, I went to the shop, asked for an exchange and they said little and let me had another new. Then 5 minutes later, while I was still in the shop to test it out, it just stopped functioning.....
The salesman then recommended me to choose another brand instead while I wasn't prepared and did no homework...
He then brought this to me and I asked about the spec differences, he replied not much.
I tried to gogo the brand and you know exactly what they said in all those reviews.

Yes it is a M12...kinda disappointed when I just stepped out of the shop because all the sound seemed so "crowded" and "flat" in comparing to the Beam 2 that I was still using 30 minutes ago....
Indeed I later realized that probably because of the tuning of the Beam which tends to be typical V shape, emphasizing the high and low, the vocal then becomes rather "remote" and not directly singing to your ears.
It is very obvious that output of M12 is far more than Beam 2 at lease 1.5x as the salesman claimed M12 has the most output among this price range of products. However, I can't really understand their specs when put together.
Something that still wondering in my head is, should I buy the AK PEE51 instead.....or at least give it a try.

just watched a video from YouTube and downloaded the latest firmware published in Aug which claims to fix issues with iphone, but in fact, it also affects the sound quality in android phone that becomes 1. even more output power; 2. more spatial 3. the mid seems to retreat a little ……

can't say it has become more punchy as my source is really low-end. While I have the feeling that everything starts to unwind and stay in where they should be after the update.
Indeed I visited the shop in MK another day, wana to check out the AK Pee51 and the Shanling UA2, 2 bad they had no sample but gave me W2 for test riding.
The first thing I noticed was that while I kept the volume setting on my phone I needed to increase the VC of UA2 up to 80% in order to achieve the same sound level of my M12.
The overall sound signature of W2 seemed to be more transparent in the high with wider sound stage and depth.
But with my existing gears on hand, I won't spend 1.5x for the display and minute sound difference.... still a happy user of M12 till I have the chance to try the other two as well.
