eSATA is fastest. Almost same speed as internal SATA.

firewire 同 usb 既 speed 其實差不多, 不過通常 usb 的 device 多, 會 interrupt 個 transfer.

usb 同 1394 都係大約 2x-3x MB/s, ESATA 大約 6x-7x MB/s, 單一大 file 計 (over 1GB per file)

以前有個USB/1394兩用嘅2.5"HD Box,用1394係快過同stable過用USB嘅.(無Check過速度,但好明顯感覺到)

Just copied 161GB of TV recordings from my WD MyBook 1TB to PC (seagate 1.5TB), the speed is around 80MB/sec.

Should be, but practically may not because the controller chip in the external HDD box may slow down the speed a bit. Furthermore, the HDD model used in external HDD box most likely has less performance but better energy efficiency than internal ones.
