    Yes, g3 is a good reader. Sony ush-I card attains its max speed (94mbs) with this reader

Cannot recommend RDF5 because even if it's a bit cheaper and smaller than G3, the memory card cannot be embedded INSIDE the card reader, which means you cannot treat the RDF5 as a USB stick drive...
Also you don't know if the card reader will be treated as having one drive letter, or two

But the MobileLite G3 can let you embed cards inside the slots, so that you can treat your G3 as a USB stick drive...
Also the SD and mSD slots act as different drive letters on the PC, which is more convenient

In addition, the SD slot on the MobileLite G3 also support Memory Stick Duo cards, another bonus

R/W speed should be top notch, afterall the reader is also UHS-I compatible
The other factors that vary such performance is your MB and how the USB3 is being configured (原生 or add-on) etc. etc.

Overall G3 is good, except for one thing
Blue LED light is VERY dim, some units are even worse and that the LED is near invisible (even when you stick your nose to the reader)...

Just bought a second one and found this problem, had to return for a new one, which is better but still LED is a tad dimmer than my first one (聯強貨)

Even though the G3 has very dim blue LED, it should be at least viewable within short distance, say, 50cm
If you can't see the LED within this distance, definitely return it for a new one

CF 快唔快就唔係好知...
但係SD用張Sony 32GB,
就真係有95MB/s 同 45MB/s write.
價錢我係岩岩出嗰時買, 要150蚊度~
呢隻重好得意地有firmware update添

There's a little hole on top of the right hand side of the label "MobileLite"
You should be able to see that LED at close distance (say, within 50cm)

If the LED cannot be seen even if you stick your nose to it, then it's bad QC and you should have the reader replaced
If 舖頭都唔肯換 then simply conotact dealer (Kingview or Synnex) for replacement

暗 is for sure, but the degree of 暗 still depends on batches

My first G3 (with a slightly looser front sliding cap) bought several months ago has a slightly brighter LED... maybe the plastic used on the frontal cap is a bit thinner

Have recently talked to Viewking about the LED issue, they said they'll discuss that with Kingston
