while still studying this phone..

sky 的software 好貼心，人性化。  

另外有screen test program，官方比客出机試。very good.   


重返vega 好有感情。做工都係保持一流水準，只是個外形差左跟***

好奇怪的design, 中間home鍵 logo 用LTEA, ...唔用vega logo?

外觀  以為呢部係山寨机。

為左測試A880有冇用2600 MHz, 可以用debug mode ##000000#

裏頭有顯示所用的LTE 頻道。

我用pccw,從來見唔到A880行到LTE b7 , 姐係2600。

唔通1800 和2600 係either OR condition ?

好消息，我剛剛親眼見到有行2600 MHz, 而很快又行回1800 MHz。
所以我証明有1800 + 2600 的，今晚post 回screen dump, 好彩及時dump 到 :)

各師兄們，唔好意思，還有一個少許問題想向各位請教既，就係A880S呢部機係咪一插Sim咭就可以用到4G，定還要入Hidden Menu做Setting先可以用4G(小弟係用中國移動香港)，如果要入Hidden Menu，請問個Hidden Menu Code係打邊一個呢，謝謝各位師兄解答，請多多包涵，謝謝!

到目前都想唔到點root。

4.22 好難，甘就要由recovery 入手。先unlock 左bootloader, 但未有適合recovery image 比我boot起。

1) Yes  (screen protector is a must for all SKY mobile), smartcase seems only 1st batch will has this bundled.
If you see the price is dropped, then no more smartcase. you have to wait and buy it later from Korea market.

2) No (at least better than G2, G2 also has a little lagging)

I can tell you, only the camera software from Sky is no good

Update:

Up to this moment, I am unable to figure out how to root...

If Android 4.22 has no security back door... then I seek another way: -> kernel or recovery

1) without root, without kernel source yet. then I try download the OTA package and extract its boot.img
2) try extract the boot.img and ramdisk, inject root file to the ramdisk, making init.rc to copy root file to system/xbin
3) re-package the newboot.img ok
4) try to fastboot the newboot.img
>fastboot boot image-new.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.301s]
booting...

FAILED (remote: dtb not found)


finished. total time: 0.316s

5) god father "benjaminwan" helped me to compile a TWRP recovery image for A880 and unfortunately it is still having the same error which unable to boot customized recovery


Without root access, we cannot modify SMS limit, regional setting (like phone number format).....etc

If you guys know how to root, please help

I am assume you can run my batch to flash the pre-rooted kernel (no need to unlock boot-loader, although I did it, but I remembered SKY seems not using this security checking)

係呀，又冇人整，大陸同越南都冇。因今次比較難整，又少人用。如果冇root,呢部机少好多野玩。例如sms limit, 中文化，去韓apps, 改通訊number format 等。希望從此多的人加入a880 喇。

我會教大家點還原翻的，非常容易。

??? can you provide more information?

have u set debug option ON?
have u install correct driver in FASTboot mode?

1) power off your phone completely
2) press volume + and -  together, then press power button
3) you will see VEGA bootloader menu
4) press volume down to select  "FASTBOOT", then press POWER button
5) then you are in FASTBOOT mode
6) Check your windows device manager, see any driver missing
7) if ok then issue:

fastboot devices

it will confirm whether your computer connected with A880s OK or not
8) if ok then issue:

fastboot flash boot a880sroot.img

9) then after ok, issue:

fastboot reboot
