Hi

Does any CHing know if a slower SATA M.2 SSD, installed on the back of a motherboard, which gets little or no air circulation for cooling, will still operate well within acceptable temperatures, say, under 40C?

Assume the ambient temperature is around 25C.

Normal temp 40 is ok.

對 M.2 SATA mode 來講40C 是十分係正常.

Thanks, but the question is: will it stay at 40C or below without air circulation (at 25C ambient room temp)?

The underlying assumption is that, unlike a top NVMe SSD, a slower SATA SSD will run cooler. Fair assumption?
