小弟用緊DS1010+，等到頸都長，終於有新model...
睇完SPEC，同DS1515+冇兩樣，10GE/SSD用唔著，不如買番DS916+...

Have been using ds1010+ for nearly 7 yrs? So, reliable/durable.
It seems DS1517+ is a disappointment (to many of us). I think DS916+ is the best 4-bay model in their product line, so far.
ps. Recently switched from Q to S (DS216+II) for the sake of Btrfs resilient data integrity, snapshot (1GB ram is good enough) and the extremely stable/versatile DSM.

May be the problem has been fixed at hardware level (together with some kind of chipset changes)
Anyway, I won't get one with C2583 being installed.

ds1517+ 應該係過渡產品, 我捻主要係 apollo lake cpu 供貨太慢, 而家並冇其他嘅取代方案, 至今 apollo lake based NAS 都只係發表並冇實際販售, Qnap 同埋 Asustor 最快應該呢個月才有少少供貨.
ds1517+ 已經有三年保用, 如果擔心保用問題, 其實加買 2 year nt$3000 延長保用唔係咁貴.

That means newer S models with apollo lake CPU (such as J34XX, N33XX, N34XX ...) would be there in the very near future.
Anyway, if they have 5-yrs of warranty, I think it might be better.

916+ has a capable cpu, the N3710. Even my HP 11.6" laptop is also equipped with such cpu and it's fast enough to run the Win 10 Creators.
