I installed my old 8GL5 on Ubuntu 11.04 without any problem. I can watch TV using VLC.
But I cannot get it work on Magic-pro Platinum Dual tuner 8G75. /dev/dvb/... is not created.
The output of 'lsusb' shows

Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 3344:22d0
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 3344:22d0
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 TERMINUS TECHNOLOGY INC. USB-2.0 4-Port HUB
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
The followings 2 are the 2 tuners
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 3344:22d0
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 3344:22d0
Is there anyone get 8G75 work on Ubuntu ?
I've tried latest V4L driver and this one

you need two drivers to get the stick work (eg xc5000 and atbm8830). show your lspci, lsusb and/or dmsg to see what the chipset it is using.

i know it has the atbm8830 but don't know the model of tuner. can you see the chip from the card ?

我都打算買一張 mygica x8558pro 黎比部 ubuntu nas, 貪佢有雙 tuner 可以錄兩個台, 不過我都想知可唔可以 support, 晶片圖係以下 hkepc 產品介紹網 cap 過黎,

there is driver for cx23885 but cannot find driver for atbm8810 (??). you can try and let me know if it work ?
in this page it said it is atbm8830 :

may be there are few hardware version under the same product name.

cx23885是pci-e chip
xc5000 max2165 xc2028 最細個粒先係tuner chip
