Except your motherboard defected, H77 already a very good chipset for i5-3470 !!!
H61 or B75 should be an entry level motherboard, performance would never hit H77
Might be what you really need is i7-3770 or E3-1240 V2 (4C8T) to gain a higher performance...

My motherboard does have problem now. can't even boot to start up. That's why I would rather to change to a new MB. Do you have any other chipset to recommend. I do not know the differences between H77, B61 or B75. I problem need to go to the store and see whatever the salesperson recommend me to use. Since I guess probably not many mother board for 1155 is available now.
b75/q77/h77 是用一個grade 嗎?
Otherwise, I could upgrade the CPU and use a new Motherboard. But it seems my current CPU is fast enough already. Is it worth to upgrade?

3代仲有乜好唔好用，倉底貨就緊㗎啦，香港有算好彩，
呢塊ASUS H61M-K 冇USB 3.0，上淘宝可能有多d選擇。

If i5-3470 is still fulfill your needs! Then replace a motherboard would be the best way....Cause upgrade to the new platform could not use DDR3 ram anymore!
Only CPU + MB + 16GB RAM would cost over 3.5K (base on i5 CPU)
As you only use i5, so even H61 or B75 doesn't matter. But H77 or Z77 would be hard to find new board
For Q77, it's good but only appears on factory build PC such as Dell, HP & etc...

E度二手區成日有ching 放B75主板，我arm arm買左塊 B75 atx 大板，新淨。 Hkd180， 唔使淘寶啦。淘寶主板1kg to 2kg.
運費都十幾。

認同 6 樓，想保留 DDR 3 又用 8 系 U 最好係佢。
想用番粒 3 系 U , 就找找 1155 2 nd hand MB, 新唔係冇, 但只有低楷 H61, 傳輸完全追不到時代進步。
另外請提供火牛 budget, 500 W 足夠使用, $3xx to $6xx 都有。
