Use MegaCLI to flash the SAS controllers.  The DOS version of MegaCLI is included
in the zip file.  Windows and Linux MegaCLI can be downloaded from the download
section of www.lsi.com.

Command syntax:  MegaCli -adpfwflash -f AF2108_FW_Image.rom -a0

今日試左新版Firmware + Driver，真係有幾大改進，速度比舊版快左接近5%，成績唔錯   


Firmware: v12.0.1-0081 + Driver: v4.17.2

唔用DOS也可以在Windows下的DOS Prompt做升級，只要下載MegaCLI for Windows就可以：

May I know what is the above result from? 1 x 300G SATAII? 2 x 150G SSD? Or else?

Btw, I am considering to get 9261, coz I like its orientation of socket more, hope it is fun...

Just 1 x Seagate 300GB 15K.7 SAS

升級v12.3 Firmware後速度比起接在 LSI SAS 9211-8i HBA 上重要快少少，今次都算滿意收貨，睇黎LSI SAS HBA既Firmware都要急起直追先得

LSI MegaRAID 9261-8i 的接口方向配合Low Profile機箱和在整線上都會比較方便


1 x Seagate 300GB 15K.7 SAS  @ LSI SAS 9211-8i HBA

可唔可以用返係3Gb的SAS RAID卡?

Seagate 15K.7雖然係SAS 2.0 6Gbps介面，但仍然可以自動兼容一般的SAS 1.0 3Gbps介面和Raid Card，還有現在的15K rpm HDD已經好靜，同7.2K SATA差不多

如何用9211行RAID 0同9260行RAID 0速度相差遠唔遠?

如果係行SSD RAID 0兩者分別唔大，但若用黎行HDD RAID 0則9260會好過9211，因9260有512MB Cache，可以開Write Back

LSI出左一張平價RAID 5卡MegaRAID 9240, 同張9211 HBA好似係用同一粒CHIP, 唔知性能掂唔掂?

LSI 9240同9211基本上係同一樣野，只係firmware唔同，9240比9211多左RAID 5但沒有on-board cache亦不能加BBU，暫時仍未見有相關測試

FastPath其實就係一粒小小的Hardware Key，插在Raid Card上就可啟動FastPath功能

Amongall, 9261 almost has the same specification to 9260, I don't understand why this software is not yet compatible with 9261 and has to wait longer....sigh...

Master Idolclub, from LSI, it seems the CacheCade software not just includes those are offered in the FastPath but more.
Instead of FastPath, do you know if those extras in CacheCade would significantly benefit the SSD Raid usage and worth to get? I am using X-25E x 4 Raid 0 just for OS at the moment, hope you can give some advices, FastPath or CacheCade ...

由於LSI 9261沒有Physical Keys的安裝插座，要等Electronic License和新版Firmware才可支持FathPath或CacheCade等功能，預計要到第四季才會推出

FathPath主要是針對SSD RAID而設，目的就是要優化SSD RAID的表現及提升Random IOPS的性能

CacheCade則是針對傳統的HDD RAID而來，主要是借助SSD來建立一個龐大的Cache區以提高HDD RAID的讀取性能及增加IOPS數值

若你主要是用X-25E x 4 Raid 0，使用FathPath已足夠
