要知道硬碟摩打個Bearing本身係有壽命，而無讀寫一段時間例如1個鐘先至Spindown，係合理過長期無讀寫都喺到空轉去等你讀寫隻硬碟；但如果成日Spindown咗又即時Spinup，即係個Spindown嘅時間有需要Set長啲。

Spin down and up, are we talking about that load/unload cycle count (of which the max. life count is mostly at 600,000) ?
I've a portable hdd with the load/unload cycle count increased to 十幾萬 in just a month of use! Now I've set the APM to a value of 254, no sleeping at all! And that counter has stopped growing since then.
