You might want to stick to the 8000
10000 has certain confusing "new" features such as dual OS, some 4K (?) support, ability to install applications etc. etc., all of which are not necessary for someone who need an STB to record TV programs from free DTV channels

It also lacks Component output, which is essential for connecting to older TVs without DTT tuners  and HDMI inputs

IMO PM is heading to the WRONG direction when planning for the 10000

10000D 無可以在專用 Apps 收看家中的 Magic TV 的即時及錄影節目，尤其是在外國會更加實用，故可以選擇的話寧願付多數百元買回 8000D 好過了。
