The USB power supply you are using should have design problem, a proper USB power supply should have overload and short circuit protection for each USB port and should not fail like this so easily.
You should also take in the factor of charging protocol when buying a USB charger for your power bank, some power bank support Power Delivery(USB-C only) or Quick Charge input to "ask" the power USB charger for more power to accommodate faster charging.
Besides, I also advice you to buy a better quality USB charger for your own safety sake, unless you want your home burn down to ash.
A standard AC socket should be able to take a load of 220V 13A which means 2860W(220 * 13), a USB power supply only have a load of 220V 1.8A which is about 400W.
