Supposing you know ohm's law, joule's law, capacitor, inductor, transistor. You also need calculus (theory only, no calculation required).

You can start with

Microelectronics Circuit Analysis and Design - McGraw-Hill

It is the text book of ELE101 and ELE102. Afterwards, you may go for a specific topic.

Reading text book at home is very boring. A better way is to find a school (e. g. VTC) and join a course (18 - 24 months). It is basically free of charge. There you can torture a teacher.

CRT theory is very old day. In fact, FET copies the theory of CRT.

For simplicity, you may consider CRT working like FET without base / gate voltage.
