Amazon Gift Card - cannot be used by sender?

Hi

Just obtained a bonus by buying and sending a $50 gift card.

Is it true that, as the sender, I cannot click on the $50 gift card link (in the email) myself and add the $50 to my own Amazon account?

Or, if I do so, is it against Amazon rules?

The gift recipient email address is of course different from my Amazon account email address.

Thanks in advance for any CHing's clarification!

click 落下咪知得唔得囉。

you can top to ur own account rather than sending a gift card
However if the receiving email account is your own (i.e. the same as the amazon account id), then you should have no problem in applying the gift card to your own account.

Hi

Thanks for all your replies.

Rephrasing my query. If a gift card is sent to address X, is it possible that another user with address Y click on the relevant link in the email and add it to the address Y Amazon account?

Lastly, is it true that promotional rewards (special, not regular) are not shown in the account, but will be applied in future towards any purchases? I received a $10 promotional credit by email, but cannot see it in my account.

Thanks again.
