(1) do some hacking to Firefox for speed;
(2) disable IPv6 supports in Firefox; and
(3) do some hacking to Ubuntu to enable local DNS caching.

其他我唔定, 但著o左 http pipe-lining 同加大個 pipe-lining 數字其實係改變緊 throughput 同 latency 之間o既取捨

o係 slow internet connection (第一篇文提到) 條線本身 latency 就勁高, 如果唔開 pipe-lining 即係你將一個 page 入面逐件 component download 完一件先再 download 第二件 (一版 HTML 好多件獨立 Files 例如 D 圖), 冇錯對於一個 File 黎講冇話一齊 download 緊其他 file 搶 bandwidth (lower latency for individual file), 但係件與件之間要等二個 file 開始 transfer 其實唔少時間 (lower throughput).  相反著o左 pipe-lining 就一大堆一齊 download, 咁樣冇錯每個 file 因為有人同佢搶 bandwidth 會要多 D 時間 download (higher latency for individual file), 但因為冇o左件與件之間要等o個個空隙, 所以整體 download 時間係會快o左 (higher throughput)

寫寫吓先覺得唔知會唔會解得太複雜, 算啦打o左唔好浪費
