小的多年前玩CAS,是用CAS專用的電腦,CPU是Mobile on desktop的ultra low voltage C2D,RAM也要降頻,HDD是SLC SSD,電源是Linear ATX power,不單大部,而且熱,非常要空間放置,因結婚後沒有位置玩,現在只用一般的電腦,再將以前CAS的零件也用上便算。
3 CDROM, 3 ripping. Finally you will get 3 WAV files. Have you compared these 3 WAV files? Are they bit to bit equal?
Result may be unexpected. Audio CD is not like data CD.
Audio CD recording mode is async. Different equipment may give unequal results (depending on external clock, jitter).
Data CD is sync (data and clock embedded). Data and clock (the exact time for the data) are read simultaneously. Therefore every data CD is bit to bit equal.
Why audio CD was not sync? 40 years ago bandwidth and storage space were very limited. Putting 74 min music (16, 44.1) on a CD nearly occupied all space. There was no room for clock signal. This weakness persists.
FYI, old types digital audio transmission are also not sync. They include toslink (coaxial, optical), spdif, async USB. Wire quality affects sound quality.
New types are sync. They are I2S, HDMI, sync USB. Wire is less important.
