There is nothing illegal about VoIP. If VoIP were illegal in China, then why are the three domestic (and state-run) operators be allowed to provide such service?

IMO, this is about ease of censorship/monitoring and reinforcement of monopoly/oligopoly.

An other example of TIC. Nothing new here.

Maybe Skype should sue China like USA suing China in WTO about the case of rare earth export...
