This makes sense from a marketing point of view. AC56U has a more powerful dual core ARM CPU than the more expensive AC66U with single core MIPS CPU.

By downgrading AC56U dual to AC56S single core, this problem is nearly solved.

R version is simply renamed from the base model to be sold by specific retailer(s) only, such as BestBuy.
