No offence but every new system version seems to hv more security parameters turned on by default, which is to the dislike of users...
One big problem w/the previous system 16 is that on many Samsuq models, OEM Unlock setting has been deleted (even though I personally don't use it)...
I also recently found out that Auto Blocker needs to be turned off in order to adjust certain setting under Dev Options, esp. USB Debugging which is necessary for connecting phone to PC for data transfer etc.

There's also another option under Notifications that needs to be turned on, in order to be able to adjust notification sounds etc. on each separate application...
This option appeared since system 14 which can be annoying if unknown to the user
