[操作疑難] Synology DSM 4 VPN issue

I dunno if any one has similar problem, I fail to connect my own DiskStation via PPTP VPN after upgrading to 4.0 (with even 2198 installed). I searched the forum @ Synology and I was told I need to uninstall and install it, then restart, and it finally work.

The problem is that when I check the VPN connection list, I can't find the connection listed even I'm actually connecting via VPN (receiving VPN IP, browsing via the tunnel, etc.)

Although it works ok, I'm just curious if this is another bug or what? Anyone can share the experience as well?

有冇重裝VPN Server  package (VPN Server 1.1-2197)?

Yes. I reinstall the VPN server and restart the system. It works, only the connection list is not shown correctly.

Well i fixed it by reinstalling the VPN server and reboot.

Reboot didn't went well and it hang for 10 min. I waited and it was not doing anything so i pulled the plug. If it causes any damage i would be seriously pissed.

P.S - Thx Synology, you have wasted me more then 3 hours trying to fix a simple issue.

I submitted 2 support tickets last nite for the VPN connection list issue.

I'm a bit surprised to find these bugs after the prolonged beta period, and obviously, Synology doesn't do very well this time. Fortunately, we can still roll back to DSM 3.2 in the worst case.
