headphone Beyerdynamic / Sennheiser / GRADO ?

I am a beginner for headphone...
Can any one help me please?
I want to get a headphone, the price range is about
$1500 to $2500... I listen to guitar, saxophone, piano mainly.. generally would be Psychedelic rock, Progressive rock, Space rock, Instrumental rock, jazz fusion,  and classical (sometimes).....
I use with Laptop only, I dont have amp, if I need amp, can you recommend me a small one for laptop please?

i think hd595/hd 600 is the closes you can get (for jazz and classical), I know nothing about rock

for laptop the best sound amp is indigo DJ 1000~1500 try ebay
or you can make your own.......

a900TI 比較 pop 一點, a-1000 是分析力. 不過在一定的 system 下, 要 "高音甜, 低音有質和有量 分析力明顯 " 是可以的.

Now I am considering
1. Grado SR80 or SR60 with Soungrigor HA+ 耳擴連DAC 解碼
2. Grado SR60 with Soungrigor HA+ 耳擴連DAC 解碼
3. Sennheiser HD-595 work with Soundrigor 《UA》DAC 解碼器

But I donno how would be difference between SR80 and SR60...
Can anyone help me plz?

what headphone are you using ?

if it is your first time buy a better amp (which can drive the high quality ones well as well), and an armature headphone.

Can you give me some ideas please? I have to listen with the laptop. According use at work.

you should go out and compare their difference first then make your choice.
If you can't hear any difference between SR80 and SR60 take the cheaper one.

Personally I do not like how grado present their sound ( it does not sound jazz to me), and I don not like Rock so my opinion to you are useless. And also grado headphones have smaller impedance but requires large current source so once you got your amp that
can drive grado's headphone it does not neccesary sound good for the Senn's.

I know their are people have SR60 + Meier Corda XXS, perhaps you can test that combo before buying.

Are you trying to buy a headphone to avoid the noise in your work ? If that is the case you should reconsider getting getting a closed headphone. The ones you are looking for are all open. ( Search yourself for the difference for open and close headphone)
For closed headphone grados are out of the question, the only ones that are closed to grado for rock are hd25.
