how synology ds file video streaming works on android?

according to android ds file, it supports stream video.
i installed ds file on my android phone and i could connect to my nas, but how to play the video (.avi, .mkv) on my android phone? do i need to install add-on apps to get this work? pls. help. thx.

我用mv player播幾好,係間中條線唔順！

ds file 好似比你做下管理, 做唔到steaming, 如要streaming的話就要用photos+
如果只是相片的話, 用手機or電腦upload上去都無乜所為, 如果多相就唔好就咁copy去個folder度, 要用電腦的一個assistance, 佢會先set好size先放上個nas度, 如果就咁copy & paste, 就要靠nas個cpu去做,
如果upload movie, 一定要先過左d片去手機, 再用手機update上去, 否則又係睇唔到.

搞清楚, nas係可以media streaming, 但一般唔會做任何conversion, 個file係幾大就stream 幾大
而睇唔睇到nas streaming出嚟嘅video, 係睇clients (e.g. iphone, galaxy note)嘅解碼能力
所以nas可以stream mkv俾clients, 但iphone 睇唔到, 因為ios對mkv本身唔支援 (jb可能解決)
而galaxy note有能力解720p mkv, 經ds file + player (mx video player)可以睇到, 但streaming 一樣窒要buffering, 這是3g network speed問題了

如果在一個穩定wifi network下 (e.g. 30mbps speed), 720p 都無問題

p.s. 但現在最大問題係流動網路商夾埋限你data, 經3g你可以睇幾多hrs video?就算converted video (e.g. mytv), 1hr都唔見二三百mb

我用ios/android ds file都無問題，唔一定要download成個file
如我之前講, 睇唔睇到個avi, mkv, 係睇client嘅能力
我ipad2 + xbmc 經webdav睇720p mkv無問題
gnote + ds file + mx video player 睇720p mkv無問題
