Honestly, for most typical office work (except heavy excel usage), even a Celeron/AMD A6 will be fine.

However, as a programmer, I would love to have a 8 cores workstation. That means that, I can put a ton of stuff (Say, DB, ElasticSearch, Cache) all on 1 system. A private test bed.
