Many scientists say that if there is an extraterrestrial "Life", we will not see an "Alien" but an AI machine or something like that.
In the timeline of universe, we are very hard to see another "Civilization" with a similar cultural level.  5000 years comparing to the history of universe is very very small.   But 5000 years later, our Earth might be a AI world
