今日去了一年一度 TSMC武林大會 - TSMC 2018 Technology Symposium.  Key takeaway 如下 :

啱啱嘅 VLSIT, 睇嚟 Samsung 7nm 如意算盤唔係打得咁響. 不過都正常因為佢哋先前比出嚟嘅數據實在有啲太 aggressive. ( 所以點解而家又話 Qualcomm 7nm 會返返去 TSMC ) , 但係佢哋中間會有 8nm.

將來一片wafer 吾知要買多錢，依家一片7nm 著要萬幾蚊美金, 產品要買多少錢才可收成本?!

好彩暫時仲有好多 FPGA , Crypto ASIC. 暫時來講個餅做大左好多. 假設 EUV 順利成功, 3nm ( 去到大約 2025 ) 收回成本都唔係問題. 之後嘅嘢實在太長遠而家都無人知.

Problem is, intel was originally planning to roll out 10nm in 2016,
and was claiming a 3.5 year lead ahead its competitors.
Now that they confirmed the delay for the THIRD times. No mass production until 2019(for now)

intel技窮只可以同amd鬥多核，但係AMD唔會讓步，咁落去家用32核64線好快平民化。 amd既precision boost愈多核應該愈發揮到效用，提高min fps減lag機感
