而家仲要VM 世界 唔通2部INTEL 同1部AMD 可以玩到V-MOTION?

Why not? A lot of companies are not using V-MOTION. Absolutely don't think cloud vendors like AWS, Google and Microsoft runs anything from VMware. And a lot of new projects are not being run from own data center anymore, they are being run on AWS/Google/Azure via docker.

Microsoft and Baidu already said they will deploy EPYC based servers.

it is related to risk management - IT dept shall  make a plan on how to migrate it.   For example, you can use Epyc to run some non-critical tasks until you have confident to deploy it more.

Currently, AMD has less than 1% market share of server business only.. It is not difficult for AMD to get 5~10% market share next year.    I heard many companies wanted to get sample of  AMD Epyc CPU for trial run for few month ago.   And it will eventually drive Intel to lower than server CPU prices and help many companies cut down their IT budget in upcoming years .

The trend is docker. With docker, Intel or not, is not as important as before. furthermore, the trend is to go datacenter-less and go with AWS/Google/Azure, IT departments do not need to even think about this in the future.

Docker似係一個sandbox咗嘅environment。每隻docker container(image)會share同一個OS同同一set hardware。所以唔似VM software要emulate成隻機出嚟。唔使做memory mapping。唔使用到CPU VM specifics feature.
