You are totally missing the point.

i have an idea of the composition first, and then do the setting in camera or lighting needed
finally ask the model to do the posture...
what point do i miss?

Sacrificing technical accuracy for art.

I do not put technical accuracy as something in my top priority. These are not commercial projects. And you cannot always ask a model to give you the exact posture you want, sometimes it's something that they are doing subconsiciously, and more often than not it is those things that make or break the photo.

haha, i just think the technical accuracy can make the work we do perfect... of course i do appreciate the idea of some of your work... it's always in my mind that "that would be a perfect shot if it was focused correctly"

on the other hand, my situation is even worse than you... my models are usually normal girl, they have no idea about portraits... i used to ask them to show me the best posture they can do... finally they just stand there if i don't give them instructions...

Yes, but I still would not make it my top priority. I could have thrown away the selected photos and published the others that are more technically correct. But I didn't. Life is always about choices. And this is how I make mine. Your milege may vary.

anyway, i just want to express the use of good focusing system...
if focus is really not a matter... go MF or never try to rescue photos by sharpening
