Magic TV peer-to-peer network recording viewing?

Hi

Has any C Hing successfully connected two Magic TV boxes on a peer-to-peer basis and watched the programs recorded on one from the other using the "Network HDD" feature?

I connected two in the past using Wifi, but the streaming was laggy.

I try connecting two using fast Powerline adaptors on an ad hoc basis, completely detached from the home network. However, watching programs recorded on one from the other using the Magic TV "Network HDD" feature does not seem to work?

Any suggestions?

1. 802.11n WiFi is typically too slow for Magic TV network HDD usage.

2. If you change the network connection (e.g. powerline adapter), please reboot the Magic TV if they don't discover each other in the network.

It should work in theory, and I haven't received reports of that not working, as long as the broadcast packets are transmitted and are not dropped by the powerline adaptors.

I thought so, too.

However, when I tried such a setup, neither Magic TV box could "see" the other's recorded programs.

I used the following IP addresses for the two boxes:

150.100.100.100 and 150.100.100.101

Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

Rest: all 0's

    我用緊POWERLINE來駁。7000d with HDD shared, 用3200D 來睇.
3200D 開機時如7000d 已開機的話, 3200D會用約1分鐘來discover 7000D 的HD, 此時3200D會開著, 但按鍵沒反應, 直至NETWORK HDD MOUNT 好為止. 而看錄影時, ACCESS MENU 都有點慢, 但播片沒有問題. 我不知這是不是POWERLINE 的LAG.

用緊！ 廳係部新買的 3300d, 房係部半壞的 3000。除咗 menu 反應慢d, 錄影和重播都冇問題！
我廳和房之間係用兩隻router wifi 連線的。
