你 sure 內置 HDD 的 model 待機時個 HDD 會停?

反而我剛試過部 3300D, 待機時外置 HDD 燈會全關, 亦完轉 feel 唔到HDD motor 震動. (一部 seagate expansion 4TB, 另一部 WD MyBook 10TB)

1. Sure - internal HDD will always standby if Magic TV is in standby mode.  If the optional idle internal HDD standby function is activated, then internal HDD will also sleep if there is no activity even if Magic TV is awake.

2. Sleep operation of 2.5" USB HDD is done by Magic TV cutting USB power, so it usually works.  Sleep operation of external 3.5" USB HDD is dependent on correction implementation of handling the sleep command by the USB HDD.  Most USB docking fails, and some non-WD USB HDD (e.g. Lacie) also fails.  It is not true that  "mtv個系統不理會佢死活".  The problem is most 3.5" USB docking does not implement sleep command.  WD USB HDD has supported sleep command since before MTV3000 was introduced in late 2007.

I used Buffalo DriveStation and it looked like it could also sleep when Magic TV was off.

唔夠電, 原裝2.5" harddisk還可以, 一換隻3.5" 4T多數出事

建議12V, 6A+, 這才可保証轉3.5" harddisk隻 ...

你都識講, 好多usb harddisk dock個sleep mode都fail, 咁仲邊有得搏

我買之前就是download了個manual, 確定internal harddisk有這個sleep mode才買
