AK4499 is a very expensive DAC chip. It outputs 140 dB S/N (almost human listening limit).

But if signal drops 10 % due to poor circuit design, using such a good chip will be meaningless.

I mean choosing good brand and good design is very important for high end audio product.

By the way, I like Fiio. Fiio has some well designed products (e. g. M11).

I suggest you to try a new chip from Analog Device. It works very good at I/V.

ADA4625-2

It has high input impedance, big bandwidth, low noise (among FET, cannot compare with BJT noise of course). It operates on big voltage range. Most importantly, it is very musical. You can also try it at LPF. But don't use it at VAS or buffer because it is not fast.

Soldering skill or hot gun skill is required because only SOP8 is available.

AK SP1000 4497 都做好高SPEC 前2年啊 但未味道不及 AK380

FIIO 我都有KEEP 部 Q5 DAC 仔

真是唔敢 入M15 自己 吹起換 走 OP AMP
平時 CHI FI 千幾就試過

ADA 我手上有4627 4637  盲測試 同OPA627BP  又真是 好聽D , 可以去中頻為主角  唔氣勢太強後去左中高 同彈跳低音度.

新年假期 試試 DIGIKEY搵 4625-2

ADA4625 is a new chip launched in 2019. It has a smaller noise than 4637. And it is more musical (harmonic).

I buy from mouser because my company buys from mouser often. I can add some chips with free delivery.

I find a strange thing.

In M11 / M11 pro, Fiio uses a Texas Instrument tailor made buffer chip OPA926. It performs very good. In this part, Fiio is ahead of others.

Why M15 goes back to OPA1622 ? Though OPA1622 is also a good buffer.
