Why can't I save data to my drive when it is connected to my Mac?
Most likely the reason for this is due to the fact that drive still possesses its native partition scheme and file system. Remember that the Seagate Expansion Desktop and/or Seagate Expansion Portable drive(s) come pre-formatted with an NTFS partition. Mac OS X can read data from an NTFS partition, but not write (save to/copy to, etc.) an NTFS partition. To resolve this issue, you must prepare the drive using Disk Utility. Refer to Apple documentation for using Disk Utility to partition/format hard drives and Document ID: 207851 for more information on using this drive with MacOS.

自己搵到答案了,麻煩了c hing..

Most retail HDDs like these are preformatted in NTFS unless otherwise stated
That's not a problem if you have good third party NTFS drivers installed on a Mac

A better solution would of course be reformatting the HDD to another compatible format eg. exFAT, but that means older Mac systems (OS10.5 and before) are not compatible

backup all data, then reformat the drive to formats supported by MAC. That's all.

Possible, but unless you need to install bootable OS10 inside, no point for HFS+ format IMHO
exFAT seems to be more versatile for someone who sticks to a recent system (10.6.8 or later)
