[外置硬碟] 隻hardisk係咪死左

事源老婆尋晚忽然慘叫, 話佢external hardisk開唔到
我就去望下, 發現windows認唔到佢, 變左unknown device
total試左3部電腦都係一樣 (win 10, win xp)

我想問隻野係咪死左?仲有無得救?

What brand of external HDD?
If it's MyA$$port then you're pretty much toast

It's it's something else, then maybe remove bare HDD from external enclosure and connect that to a docking station whatsoever to see if HDD can be read again

我明白唔係100%安全, 所以都係back一份hardisk, 一份cloud base

Cloud-based storage can actually be quite dangerous
Even NAS could be dangerous in case of corruption in partition (ie. cannot log back in to access HDD contents)
Basically you've done what is available to an average consumer, the only other recommendation is to do as second BU
