買外置只用來 backup 。。 我驚原生 USB 。。反而唔怕 SMR

I'm using seagate backup plus 4tb 2.5" SMR hdd (STDR4000300).  The performance is mostly normal (similar to PMR).  Due to its SMR nature, after extensive file add/change/delete activities, the read/write speed drops (a bit).  A simple quick format will refresh the hdd to its original level of performance.  All in all, SMR hdd is still okay as long as we are using it for backup purpose.

I've two transcend 2tb 2.5" and one adata 2tb 2.5" portable, they're also PMR!

In case I'm going to RMA the 2tb portable, don't know if the agent would be returning a SMR !!!
