想問冷排散熱係咪取決於表面面積?
如果有關係&假設鰭片密度,排厚,物料相同,
理論上係咪[14X3(420排)=42X14=588]會好過[120X4(480排)=48X12=576]??

我問呢個問題嘅原因係我睇到下面件野

Yes, same FPI same fan RPM 140mm always > 120mm - the bigger the surface area the better.  The reasons why 140 rads are less popular are 1. space constraints for installation, 2. there aren't many good 140mm fans that can deliver good airflow at higher static pressure.  And I would think there are even less options for good 180 and 200mm fans.

BTW, have you measured the fan hole spacing between the 140mm fans in your case?    Some 420 rads use 15mm spacing while others like Black Ice  20mm.

For the 140mm fan, i have rounded up 3 choices as follow,

i have alerted this problem as well,
the fan mounting holes for Lian-Li PC-X2000F are abit strange =="
they are having about 25mm distance (i.e. about 10mm clearance between fans),
i think i have to drill some new mounting holes or to do little modification to the case, in order to mount the radiator & fans.....thats why i said i regret to sell my CM ATCS840 before i want to use water cooling system in other c-hing's post, the CM ATCS840 is very nice designed for water cooling & ease for modification, blaming myself very hard now!!!!!
