anyone got an software update message from lg?
i choose to install, and the phone restart but after a while it shows an error message telling me my phone was rooted and upgrade failed

I think you are talking for OTA
Yes, I got OTA when I first time start up my phone
but can't success as the phone rooted
Finally, I used LG PC suite to update the OS to V20D
But the phone un-rooted
I think I may need to flash kdz with bat file for root it again.

I don't know why their phone easy bricked
but I flashed my phone via KDZ twice times and upgrade thought PC suite also no problem ar
very easy without wipe data

i think the third party (chinese rom) was the main cause of death
so i only make upgrade with official rom
