The phone is perfectly fine to use even without root actually.
The native ROM itself is Korean/English, but Android itself supoprts Chinese already. That mean you can continue to use english interface while able to read chinese words.

The root of the phone provides me the following benefit:
1) blocking ads
2) disable the camera "noise"
3) freeze the useless korean apps which running behind, hence saving data and battery

But the phone is perfectly fine to use even no root at all
