結果後者遠遠較好, 仲要VM入面睇到哂HDD資料, 如型號/SMART

In technical I think VM still better. Which have longer history. But the host itseld require less resources to run the core(Linux)

But hyper v is you don't need a extra computer to access the guest vm but the host Windows server will consume some resources (Windows)

Then install unraid or free nas for storage (link to data store)
You may install many other guest os as long as you have CPU and ram

VMware係CPU效能方面比Hyper-V高
同埋Management方面遠比Hyper-V Flexible, 強
但係I/O效能始終差好遠
睇情況需要

至於Windows Server, 其實Microsoft有個純Hyper-V既OS, 入到去只得個command prompt, 成個OS boot完只佔幾百MB RAM, 比ESXi更少
但係就冇得直接用果部PC做哂所有management

除ESXI外, 仲有proxmox同埋UNRAID OS都可以做到.

如果係一般VM用, ESXI好. 如果係玩passthrough, unraid OS好過ESXI.

ESXi 玩RDM 行SCSI Mode都睇到哂HDD資料的
不過唔太順...SSD會得番2xx MB/s
HDD明顯會feel到慢過平時

最後我改vmx將隻RDM Disk改成SATA Mode就順番好多
SSD有番4xx - 5xx MB/s...HDD行OS都順番
缺點係show唔到型號同SMART
